Promotion of Family and Consumer Science
The Bulldog FCCLA Chapter focuses on promoting Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) in each of their projects and activities. Family and Consumer Sciences are an essential part to the development of an individual and life readiness. Through the integration of FACS, we create leaders who are ready to enter the working world and take them by storm. Here are just a few ways we incorporate these essential life skills.

We keep a balanced budget and maintain accurate financial records for all club finances integrating personal finance and money management skills.

Members of FCCLA are also able to obtain their ServSafe Certification allowing them to pursue jobs in the culinary industry.

All Early Childhood Education FCCLA members get hands on experience working in our onsite preschool helping them learn the ins and outs of preschool management and teaching.

The opportunity to take a CPR and First Aid traning is open to all FCCLA members.

Through FCCLA STAR events, members improve their organizational and public speaking skills.

Also through competing in state events, we integrate sewing skills and textile manipulation.
Although FCCLA may seem simple to the outside eye, members of FCCLA understand the unique challenges of everyday life and work to master these skills prior to entering the working world and living on their own. Promotion of Family and Consumer Sciences is a vital part of the FCCLA curriculum and living as a successful individual in society and that is why we chose to highlight these important skills throughout our time in Bulldog FCCLA.
